Urashima Taro, comic page 1 and 2

A page from my sequential art page for my, Urashima Taro comic piece. Greyscale, Photoshop CS4, hope to color it soon.

The Underwater Marching Band

Based on a sketch that I had worked on my sophomore year, I sent to photoshop and tried a full painting on it. My approach was different this time. I did everything in greyscale and tried to add color but it turned weird. I laid down a flat tone and submitted it, but I'm still working on it!

My Sketch

Older Photoshop self-portraits

Like it says, probably one of my most successful digital sketches and deserving a spot on my blog.

CyberBully

If you can't tell I hate coming up with things to say on my posts. This one was about cyberbullying. It's a loose painting on photoshop but I do want to out my stuff up here so here goes.

Insideout

This was my Inside looking out assignment that I did for my Jr Ilustration class. The scene is a murder, the assailant attempts to escape but is quickly found by the cops. I did this in pen and ink and like my casualty piece I found inspiration in Frank Miller, slowly but surely I'm on my way.
Stay tuned for more stuff.

Summer at the Square

For my adavanced Illustration class we were supposed to create a poster for a haiku submitted by a local poet. I didn't include the poem but it had something to do with Clinton Square in Syracuse NY and how it is infused with the sound of jazz and the blues. I was realy proud of how this turned out and I believe that it a marked a huge step in my digital artwork so here it is!

Casualty.

So this is a recent piece I did for my illustration class. Subject: Two people interacting. My goal was to capture a tragic moment in a tense atmosphere. I really love Frank Miller's work with Sin City so this was my inspiration. Pen and Ink is one of my favorite mediums and I'm starting to fit alot of that into my portfolio. It's going slow but steady.
