Metroid piece: Complete!

So I have just finished my Metroid piece, independent, after working on the color stage for about 4-5 days. It got pretty draining around the middle but I managed to finish up. The best part actually was the background because I got the chance to be very loose and just paint as it was on a board or canvas. But yea its done, hope you enjoy, now it's on to the next...

Samus

So I've been gone a few days, 2 to be precise and I haven't caught up on my updates. This next entry is a long sketch I did of Samus Aran from the Metroid series, I'm hoping to colorize her soon as I'm done with this sketch and really try to see to work with digitally colorizing such a tight sketch. More updates soon. Very soon.

Old Sketchbook post 1 and Turk!

So I pride myself in keeping a sketchbook, and I like to keep it filled, here's one of my sketchbook stuff from my watercolor moleskin, its just Ironman, no innovation but I'm a huge geek so I felt like he earned the right to be there. I would like to upload more of my sketchbook stuff, they're not all amazing but they're mine and I feels like it would bring me to this blog. so here it is. And Turk!

Stitch

Day 2! I actually did some work today like I said I would and here it is. It's in the traditional watercolor medium, and its a a fan work of Stitch from Disney's Lilo and Stitch. I love the movie and I think Chris Sanders is a pretty cool artist who has some interesting subject matters (naked and half-naked girls? don't worry it Playboy tatsteful not Penthouse dirty) But besides that cool artist and hears my dedication.

First post!

Hey there for those who WILL eventually follow this blog, I'm Kerff, K.P is preferred, on the net, but not in public. I don't really care much, anyway I'm an Illustration student at Syracuse U. and I'm hoping that starting up this blog will help me re-motivate myself to become a fine artist and encourage me to push me skills and abilities to its limits, while also having a great deal of fun and satisfaction by the end of the the day. :D But enough chatter, I plan on putting up something everyday, despite how little and putting up a digital piece every week. Since it's my first night and its pretty late I'll just leave guys with a recent piece I made and I'll get back in a few hours with something new. enjoy the blog!
